Ping

Ping is a basic diagnostic network utility that allows administrators to verify the connectivity of a remote computer by sending and receiving ICMP packets, and measuring host response time.

Traceroute

Traceroute presents the route of network packets between the sender and selected computer.

The tool displays response time, name, and IP addresses of each intermediate hop in corporate network, detecting routing anomalies and identifying connectivity delay.

Connection Bandwidth & Reliability

Program graphs transfer rate between local and remote computer in the corporate network. It is possible to specify the timeout, delay and the size of a packet. The program is ideal for verifying the quality of the links between devices in the network.

DNS Lookup

The tool presents in an intelligible format all DNS related information as well as SOA resource records - serial number for the zone, expire, refresh interval, minimum time-to-live and retry.

Network Service Scanners

The tools checks a node for the running services. Besides checking port connectivity it also sends appropriate request and checks service response. Program recognizes 65 popular network services.

Port Scanners

This tools checks node for open ports. It can check ports in range or predefined list of "well known ports". Administrators can also define custom port lists for quick scanning.

Network Scanner

This scanner detects all computers on the network by sending ICMP or SNMP packets and resolves their names. Moreover the program also gathers basic SNMP information e.g. system and location from nodes.

SNMP

The SNMP tool, being a part of AdRem iTools 2007, provides a straightforward way to obtain SNMP information about the selected network node.

The program includes MIB database with 400 pre-compiled MIB from major vendors.

Info Browser

The program provides clearly formatted data about SNMP network devices. It allows viewing the SNMP details without browsing through complicated MIB trees.

MIB Browser

This tool allows browsing data in native SNMP way through MIB tree.

iTools 2007 supports SNMP v1-3.

WMI

WMITools utility allows browsing WMI information.

Possible tasks include:

  • examining various information about Windows machines,
  • displaying and terminating processes running on the machine,
  • performing system shutdown, logging off or restarting the local or remote Windows machine,
  • viewing, starting, stopping and pausing Windows services currently installed on the Windows machine,
  • viewing Windows Event Log files on the remote computer (Application, Security and System),
  • checking hardware and software inventory on the Windows machines,
  • exploring all namespaces and WMI classes on the machine and creating new queries for information on desktop systems, applications, and other components.
